Putting Together Award-
Winning Display Cases

This month we met at:  Greenbank Mill

At Our Meeting: Monday, February 12, 2007

Location: Greenbank Mill, Prices Corner, Wilmington, DE

Program: "Putting Together Award-Winning Display Cases"

February's meeting featured Wayne Urion and Esther Kerns. Wayne, this year's show chair, showed us how to put those award-winning display cases together and Esther, this year's judge, told us all about the judging. I'm sure we've all learned interesting and helpful pointers, and overall it'll make our already-famous displays even better.

In the meantime, I'm going back over your feedback to last Fall's requests for meeting topics and presentors.....I'm still looking for programs for March and on.....I'd still like to hear about micromounts, crystal formation and structure, fossil collecting in our area, etc. So, don't be too surprised if you get an email from me. And please feel free to contact me any time if you've ideas for a presentation you could give.

Your DMS Display Case Resources

Here are some tools that will help you to enter & label your display case, along with a guidelines sheet:

If you are thinking about entering a display case, this meeting is a must.   Perhaps by the end of Wayne and Esther's presentation, you will be inspired with more of your own display ideas.

So, come prepared.  Just print out an entry form to fill out at our February 11, 2008 meeting (Deadline: February 18th)

(They are in Microsoft Word format.  Just right click,
and "Save Target As..." a file to a folder in your computer.)

If you see a "Password Box" come up, just click "Cancel", and the form will load on your computer.
