President's Message
SEPTEMBER 2005
Summer is nearly
over and a new club year is upon us. But
First, a year in review!
2005 has been a
momentous year for us as a club.
- In March we had our 2nd
show at DelTech again breaking attendance and sales records;
- We became a tax
exempt nonprofit organization;
- The amendments and
bylaws were updated then voted on and approved by the club membership;
- Our webpage is up and
running. As of late August the page has been
visited approximately 125,385 times from people all over the U.S. and abroad.
So, what is
in store for us during the rest of 05 and into 2006.
- Eric Meier will
continue to have informative and interesting programs each month. Be sure to check out the September program on how
to sell on e-Bay.
- Bob Asreen has field
trips for adults as well as juniors planned into next year.
Keep watch on the webpage and the Geogram for the latest updates.
- The Board is very
hopeful that the Lab will be up and running again by the end of the year thanks to Margie
Marshall and her willingness to conduct classes in her new studio. More information will be for coming as details are
finalized.
- And, The 43rd
annual DMS show, March 4-5! Save that
weekend for the club and help with the show! Updates
on next year’s theme will be finalized soon. Watch
the Geogram and webpage for further details and pictures of the raffle prizes!
The Officers for
the new year are the same. There have been a
few changes to the Board. Guy Sbriglia’s
two year term as a Board Member At Large is completed. Alex Kane volunteered to fill
Guy’s position. Marty X after many years
of serving as the recording secretary step down and Eric Hottenstein volunteered to step
into that position. Two new board members
were added to the existing team, Bob Ehrlich, long time membership chairman was added as
an official board member as was Ken Casey, our new WebMaster. For a complete listing please see the Geogram or
