MEETING MINUTES
Meeting was called to order at 7:35pm
President went over major points of the Board Meeting Held Feb 7th

Rewording of club Constitution to follow federal guidelines for
305c3 status,
2.
Webpage has been moved to its permanent server.

Membership decline
4.
A call for all DMS documentation (meeting minutes, financial
records, etc) to be given to the
librarian/historian,
Bob Asreen VP Field Trips: DMS field trips will start up
in late March after the show. TLS is sponsoring a bus trip to the new American
Indian Museum in Wash. DC located on the Mall with the Smithsonian.
Fran Poniecki Juniors: Continuing the effort to engage
youngsters in the hobby.
Wendy Sbriglia Treasurer: The club is solvent
Scott Peters Dir-at-Large (Legal): Club will vote at the
April GM to accept the rewritten club constitution
Ken Casey Webmaster: Website is now running on its
permanent server. The site had over 250 hits during the first week.
Carl Muendel Librarian/Historian: Call for all club
members to turn in any old DMS paperwork
Bob Ehrlich Membership: Is down somewhat due to people
moving away and age
Marion Smith Hospitality: People have signed up bring
food for the next several meetings.
Marjie Marshall Lab Director: Nothing new to report
Wayne Urion Show Chairman: Banner is up at Del Tech, and
road signs need to be picked up and placed at strategic crossings and other locations
President called for any old business none was brought up,
then any new business was called for none was brought up. The business
portion of the meeting was concluded at 8:10pm. The meeting was turned over to Eric
Eric Meier VP Programs introduced to evenings speaker,
Mr. Larry Krause. Mr. Krause talked about the numerous forms and habits a mineral
can be found in. He provided numerous specimens of calcite, fluorite, magnetite and other
minerals from his personal collection.
