Sewell, NJ: DMS is providing 10 if its members the opportunity to collect
vertebrate (shark and reptile) and invertebrate fossils, vivianite and amber from the
sediments that expose the Cretaceous- Tertiary (K-T) boundary in southern New Jersey. We
will meet at the quarry at 10:00 AM. Please signup by Wednesday, June 13th, if you
would like to attend!

hour drive from Delaware.

in Sewell, NJ or from the Ramanessian Brook/Big Brook
area in Monmouth County, NJ.

NJ. (DMS Co-sponsored with the American Fossil Federation & the MD Geological Society)
Fossils from the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary in the Navesink and Hornerstown greensand
formations. Finds include large brachiopods, corals, amber, molluscs, crocodile and
turtle remains, prehistoric swimming reptile remains (mosasaur & plesiosaur) and the
mineral vivianite.
