On Sunday May 2nd, 6 adult and 2 junior members of the DMS, including paid a visit to three of the many outcrops of the Devonian Mahantango Formation in the vicinity of Deer Lake, Schuylkill Co., PA. Sophie Homsey led this trip. The weather was cool and sunny in the morning and became partly cloudy in the afternoon. We collected numerous fossils including brachiopods, gastropods, pelecypods, cephalopods, trilobites, and corals. All in all, it was great to see the both the adult and junior members enjoying themselves.
